Richard Kotter is Assistant Professor (Senior Lecturer) Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Richard conducts funded research at the interface of transport and energy policy, as well as spatial planning and land use governance. He is an economic and political geographer, as well as a trained environmental scientist from his former natural science degrees before moving into the social sciences. He is an active academic peer reviewer for a range of academic journals and (book) publishers, as well as grant-awarding bodies. He also has/is undertaking consultancy research.
Amongst Richard’s main research interests are energy and mobility systems transitions, as well integrated emergency management.
